Meet Jess

Hi! I’m Jess. Thank you for taking the time to visit and allowing me the opportunity to introduce myself. I am an experienced postpartum doula, a certified pediatric sleep consultant and a mother of two amazing, full-grown boys!

I’ve been where a lot of mothers have – tired, overwhelmed, and frankly out of my depth! Its part of why I delved into the work I’m doing – and I love every day! I find such joy in helping parents become confident, empowered and knowledgeable so they can enjoy the special time when their babies are young – to thrive, not just survive during these years.

It’s clear that we can all use support, rest and a helping hand at almost anytime while we are raising a family. I’ve realized, though, that two specific times have emerged as essential moments for families to have extra help, time to rest, bond and recover, and get specific guidance in a way that works for them: Just after the birth of a new baby, and when it comes time to teach that baby good sleep habits. I’ve made these two stages the focus of my efforts to help families succeed in meeting their specific goals, whatever they may be.

I have hands-on experience with children and families for over 20 years

  • In private homes, pre-schools, and primary schools
  • Background in Early Childhood Development
  • Extensive work with newborns, infants and toddlers
  • Practical experience in typical and atypical behavior for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-age children
  • Postpartum Training, Red Cross Certifications in Pediatric First Aid and CPR, AAP SIDS Course Completion
  • Postgraduate Training with Family Sleep Institute

My free time is filled with cooking experiments, cheering on student athletes, encouraging my budding film maker, and reading voraciously… and like most moms, making the most of every minute! I have lived all over the US and abroad, but am currently soaking up the New England culture before my sense of adventure brings me to the next destination!

I believe every day is a new opportunity to help someone, to learn something new, and to smile – just because!  When you are ready, please let me know how I can help your family discover how to thrive!
