The Lovely Baby

Postpartum Support

When you bring your new baby home it can be both the most beautiful and stress filled times in your life. The anxiety of what you don’t know combined with the lack of sleep can be completely overwhelming for most new parents. My goal as a postpartum doula is to provide unconditional support, access to options, hands on education, quality resources, and a restful experience for all the families I work with. What this means for you is the time and space to bond with your precious new baby while some of the other details in life are moved along for you.

Emotional Support During Daytime or Overnight Visits Provides:

  • A feeling of security and confidence that someone is there for you!
  • More rest, more sleep, and a better recovery
  • Non-judgmental support and a variety of options when you need information
  • Encouragement and reassurance along the way.

Other Support Services Offered:

  • Baby Care
  • Newborn Education
  • Bathing / Diapering / Cord Care
  • Breastfeeding / Bottle Support
  • Sibling Integration
  • Light Housework and Laundry
  • Food Preparation
  • Errands and Shopping
  • Baby Sleep Recommendations

Whenever extra hands or another caring heart can make a difference for you, I‘d love to be a part of it!

(I’m currently fully booked for in-home postpartum care, but am available for a One on One Virtual Postpartum Support, Travel Support Services, Newborn Sleep Classes and Family Sleep Consultations.)

To me, the most wonderful compliment is a grateful, happy and well rested family! Here’s what some of those parents wanted to share:

Jess was incredibly sensitive to our household needs, my need for rest, and my husband’s desire to be the support system in our new little family. She took great care to both nurture my mothering instincts, as well as offer space and encouragement for me to learn about my baby in my own way, in my own time. Her information was invaluable to me as a first time mom, and she was careful to ensure my husband and I were the ones making the important choices for our baby, but were well informed about what those choices meant. We really feel empowered and confident and so proud of how far we’ve come as parents in such a short time with her support and guidance. A million thank-you’s! – K. S. Fairfield, CT
